Razer unveiled leading edge display options for its latest Razer Blade 16 and Razer Blade 18 gaming laptops.
Irvine, California-based Razer is a lifestyle brand for gamers and it’s showing off the edge of gaming at CES 2024, the big tech trade show in Las Vegas next week.
Razer Blade 16
The Razer Blade 16 comes with what Razer says is the world’s first OLED 240Hz 16-inch display, developed in collaboration with Samsung Display.
It offers speed and accuracy. With a fast 240Hz refresh rate and a rapid 0.2 millisecond response time, gamers can expect enhanced precision and reduced trigger times. It has QHD+ (2560×1600) resolution for immersive gaming visuals.
It’s also the world’s first VESA Certified ClearMR 11000 laptop, which ensures minimal blurring and maximum sharpness. The Blade 16 has a million-to-one contrast ratio and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, this display offers depth and vibrant colors.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Razer on the 2024 Blade 16, bringing the first ever OLED 240Hz 16-inch display to the gaming world. This innovative display not only showcases our commitment to advancing OLED technology but also marks a significant milestone in gaming display evolution,” said Hojung Lee, head of the mobile display product planning team at Samsung Display, in a statement.
“VESA’s standards are designed to elevate display performance and gaming experiences,” said stated Bill Lempesis, executive director for the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), in a statement. “We applaud Razer’s efforts in securing VESA’s ClearMR and DisplayHDR True Black certifications for its new Blade 16 gaming laptop. Achieving a ClearMR 11000 rating on a laptop sets a new benchmark for clarity in gaming displays.”
Razer Blade 18
The Razer Blade 18 aims to set a new benchmark in large-screen gaming laptops with the world’s premier 4K 165Hz 18-inch display. This display offers ultra-gigh resolution with 4K clarity.
It has a swift 165Hz refresh rate ensures smooth and fluid gameplay. And it has a 3 millisecond response time and Nvidia G-Sync support. The G-Sync support means the display eliminates screen tearing.
And it has up to 100% DCI-P3 color space, covering 25% more color space than the standard sRGB color space for more vibrant colors and accurate images.
Both the Razer Blade 16 and Blade 18 displays are Calman Verified, guaranteeing the most accurate color right out of the box. Each panel undergoes individual factory calibration, delivering DCI-P3 100% color gamut for true-to-life imagery.
